Mr. Vella managed to pass all 7 theory ground exams, Radio Telephony Practical, English Proficiency Test and Flying Skill Test successfully all in his first sitting and therefore fulfilling Sky People Aviation Training’s aim, to provide a high and constant standard of Pilot Training.
Sky People Aviation Training estimates that by the end of 2011, another 9 students will fully earn their Private Pilot license too.

Also at the moment, another 15 Pilot Cadets are successfully completing the Summer Pilot Cadet Course.  Sky People offer a variety of courses to train students to become Professional Pilot’s and these courses are conducted at either: PART TIME, FULL TIME or ONE TO ONE, therefore ensuring maximum flexibility in all training programs. All pilot training is conducted locally on the newest training aircraft in Malta, the Tecnam P2002JF, 9H-SKY.

Also Sky People has opened the applications for the Summer Full Time Private Pilot License course aimed for people aged 16 years and over.  The course consists of 1 Month Full Time Ground Classes + 45 Hours of Flight training with a fully qualified JAA Flight Instructor.

Take control of an aircraft with this unforgettable experience and soar through the skies in your own plane! With hands on Instruction from fully qualified JAA flight instructors, you shall receive all the information you need.  Once cruising safely over the lovely Maltese Islands, the instructor will pass over the controls to you, while you get to grips with this amazing new experience. Photography is allowed!

• This Flight Experience is an ideal way to find out if flying is for you. It offers an unforgettable experience and makes an ideal gift for family and friends.
• When you come for the flight you are far from a passenger. Before you climb aboard, your instructor will explain the aircraft and its systems, the effects of the controls and the basics of flight.
• You will then take the captain’s seat for the duration of the flight and once airborne, your instructor will let you take control of the aircraft and talk you through some maneuvers.
• Weather, time and airspace permitting, you might even be able to fly over your house or your favorite local area during your flight experience!

Packages available:

East Coast Flight (approx 20 Minutes)

The flight departs from Malta International Airport and heads to fly over Portomaso.  Then the Sliema Coast is followed to join final again for a full stop landing back in Malta International Airport.

North Malta Flight (approx. 30 minutes)

After departure from Malta International Airport the coast is followed to Mellieha.  After reaching Mellieha the flight takes you directly to the Grand Harbour area, where you will join the circuit for a Full Stop landing at Malta International Airport.

Around Malta (approx 40 Minutes)

This flight takes you around the beautiful Maltese Island.  Departing from Malta International Airport and Heading to the West or East coast, to follow the coast up to the Cirkewwa area then flying back to Malta International Airport via Dingli Cliffs or the East Coas for a Full Stop Landing.

Around The Maltese Islands (approx 1 Hour)

The flight departs from Malta International Airport and Heads to the East or West Coast to follow the coast up to Gozo.  After flying over the lovely island of Gozo the flight will take you back to Malta International Airport and experience one touch and go before performing a full stop landing.
